Zur Ausgabe 11/2023:

In der 11. Ausgabe des queer*welten-Magazins vom Amrûn Verlag haben die drei Herausgeberinnen Judith Vogt, Lena Richter und Heike Knopp-Sullivan einer oft missverstandenen Gruppe von Menschen gewidmet: den Hexen.

Sehr intensive Episode im Leben dreier Frauer in einer Welt voller verängstigter, vernachlässigter, unterbelichteter, brutaler und mit Macht ausgestatteter Männer … und dass frau ihr Schicksal beizeiten selbst in den Händen hält. Toll erzählt!

Nur, weil etwas an einem anders ist oder nicht vorkommt, ist esnoch lange kein Fehler. Die Menschen (und auch Nicht-Menschen) sind vollständig, so wie sie sind.

Auch Hexen tun gut daran, eine Versicherung abzuschließen. Zumindest wenn die eigenen Fähigkeiten ab und an überschätzt werden. Und es muss doch auch drin sein, dass eine verstrahlte, irgendwo im Universum gelandete Hexe, sich dem Rausfinden widmen darf … auch wenn sie eine eifersüchtige Partnerin hat.

Es hat noch nie etwas Positives bewirkt, Menschen aufgrund dessen, was sie sind, auszugrenzen. Wenn man Glück hat, finden die Ausgestoßenen eine Heimat und Menschen, die sie annehmen. Hass und Wut in positive Energie zu verwandeln, vermögen wahrscheinlich nur Hexen … dann aber gerne auch über den Gaumen.

Märchen mag ich ja schon immer, aber Märchen-Adaptionen, die auf einem alternativen Erzählmotiv aufgebaut sind, mag ich ganz besonders. Besonders schön erzählt und völlig natürlich queere Lebensansätze und -beziehungen eingewoben. Es gibt keinen Grund, weshalb das nicht die Vorlage hätte sein können, auf die Jacob und Wilhelm gestoßen waren.

Der Abschied von der Heimat ist immer ein Verlust. Schlägt man seine Zelte an einem neuen Ort auf und überlässt es denjenigen, die nur Machtgewinn und Gier kennen, kommt selten etwas Gutes dabei heraus. Gut, dass Hexen immer einen Ausweg haben, bei dem der Tod ein Freund sein kann.

Die Welt der Hexen war einst ein einsamer und zumeist tödlicher Zufluchtsort vor verängstigten, xenophoben und von Stereotypen geprägten Menschen. So spiegelte es Jahrhunderte auch die Literatur und dann der Film wider. Der Imagewandel geschah auch mit Hilfe der Kinder- und Jugendliteratur und nun haben Hexen die Chance durch eine progressive Phantastik in weitere Medien Einzug zu halten. Ein schöner und kritischer Abriss eines Teils der Hexengeschichte von Iva Moor.
